Grains & Supplies

Grain & Supplies

The follow list is my recommendation for grains and supplies. I can help you with sourcing but am no longer stocking items for sale.

Grains & Flours

If you are milling your own flour, the following sources may be helpful.

Praire gold, hard white wheat berries – these berries have high protein and a mild flavor – perfect for incorporating whole grains into a household.

* The following grains and cereals are fun to mix into your baking: spelt, kamut, organic wheat, soft wheat, red wheat, oat groats, barley, and buckwheat.

Soft white wheat – this type of wheat is great for quick breads and other baking that does not require gluten formation. Think muffins, banana bread, cookies, and pancakes. I buy mine from Janie’s Mill.

Janies Mill is one of my very favorite sources for locally grown flours and grains.

Bobs Red Mill and King Arthur Flour are both good flours that can be found on most grocery store shelves.
